scott speaks...again
so we have all kinds of news for those of you that are interested. we are
finally headed back to europe for the first time in about four years, it
should be great. we will be playing in eleven countries in a mere three and
a half weeks, so all of our old friends should be able to catch up with us
somewhere. we will be sampling all of the finest beers from belgium to
germany and czech, and we will post the winners on the site. past winners
include duvel (belgium) and budweiser (czech--not the american crap, you
idiot!).
we will be sporting a new lineup, as our guitarist matt arluck has
left the band after over three years of service. he will certainly be
missed; and we are currently negotiating with bill ramsey on the terms and
stock options he will require to rejoin the band and tour with us, as his
last tour was our first excursion to europe--in '94--and it would be a
virtual hp reunion. so post some messages up on our message board (which we
know he reads) and encourage him to forget about his day job and play in a
punk band again, for the love of god!
we're looking forward to our video for 'south stanley place' to come out on
a cold front video comp, and we are starting to work on new material for the
full length follow-up to copper regret. i have to say it's been great to
write and record with two guitarists (the band originally started as a
four-piece) and work with chris on bass. it has been a bit difficult to be
a band lately, as i am living in boston and will probably be moving again
next fall--and you wonder why we don't play out more often!! but we will
continue to rock, so we'll see you in europe (or perhaps at some local shows
in chicago in the spring).
