man, time fly's. can't believe 2003 is almost over.

well, sorry for the lack of site updates, but things have been a little slow in the hp camp. i spent most of the summer planning my wedding, then the past two months trying to recover. it was a great weekend and was a chance for some old friends (and former hp members) to get together (and get drunk).
here's a picture of me and my "best man" scott and another picture of me and jess after the big event. pretty crazy.
here's a picture of past and present members.

if you want to see a great picture, check out the hot-tub action shot of our old drummer (bill) in the photo of the week on the home page. ahhh, the memories of naked bill on drums....

alright, what about the band you may ask. well, we shot a video out in los angeles last month and right now it is in post production. the director is happy with the footage, so hopefully we will see it soon. the video will be included on our upcoming record '110 texas' as well as some other footage of us making the video and recording the record.

alright, what about the new record? we are working on songs right now and will be booking studio time in the next few months to complete this sucker. it looks like we are going to dump the songs we recorded already and start fresh. we are looking for a late spring release, but of course that could (and probably will) change.
touring??? well, got to get the new record done first. like our german booking agent humberto told us, 'you must work before you can play'.

what else....'seven mile road' (our discography cd). well, here's the story...we have been talking about doing this for years now and in that time a lot of things have changed. we are still going to do it, but it will not be called 'seven mile road' anymore. first of all, 'seven mile road' was a reference to songs we had recorded in the 7 years that we toured our asses off (92-99). in the past couple of years we have put a few more records under our belts and a few more tours. so now we are thinking of not only having the older recordings on there, but new ones as well. because of this, 'seven mile road' doesn't really work anymore. also, that jackass eminem released a movie called '8 mile road' and we would rather not have references to that piece of work. know what i mean?
so...what will the record be called? i have no idea.
when will the record be released? i have no idea.

well, guess that's about it. oh yea, our merch bitch (kyle) got married last month and we played his reception party at the empty bottle here in chicago. we did an acoustic version of 'letter never sent' and i will be posting the video on the site soon.

thanks for checking in.
bryan
