hey there -
just sitting around listening to doc hopper's second record 'ask your mom' (which is a great record by the way) and thought i would write a little update.

i know it's been awhile since our last update, but there really has not been much to report. we went back into the studio at the end of august to finish the guitars|vocals for the seven tracks we laid down over the summer. everything turned out really well and the songs have really come together. we were planning to have rough mixes comped so we could send them to some labels and put a few up on the site, but that's not how our plans have turned out. want to hear a little story? no? too bad...

the man behind all our records, mr. mass giorgini, happens to play in a band called common rider who just happened to start a 2 month tour [a plea for peace:take action tour] right after we left the studio. so, with mass on the road until the end of october it will probably be mid-november until we get the rough mix. this may also effect our planned spring 2003 release date for the new record, but what can you do?

as for 'seven mile road' (the discography cd), i have been going through old dat's for the past few months trying to put this sucker together. it's been pretty weird. i have found songs that i totally forgot we recorded. should have the track listing on the site in a few weeks (with maybe some mp3's) so check back soon.
not sure about the release date though. the plan was to have it released this fall, but with mass on tour it looks like it will probably be more like spring 2003. we have only been talking about this record since 1999, so what's a few more months huh?
now that we finally have some new recordings done we will be starting off 'seven mile road' with a new song called 'more at home' and a acoustic remake of 'letter never sent' (which was on our split ep with face to face).

guess that's it for now. check back in the next few weeks for some mp3's of the new songs (rough mixes). we'd like to know what you think.
thanks
bryan
