Yup, Brazil tour is almost here and we're stoked! We leave Chicago August 28 for Brazil and kick off the tour on the 30th in Sao Paulo. We are playing
the opening night of the tour with The Bombers and Boom Boom Kid at Hanger 110, which I'm told is the CBGB's of Brazil. We have no idea what to expect and
better yet, don't care. It's going to be total chaos and we're on a mission of metal...well, more like pop punk but you get the idea.
Joining us on this new adventure is our longtime merch bitch/roadie Mr. Kyle Ryan. He's been on a few Euro tours with us before, but nothing like this. Hopefully
he won't repeat his Italian squat toliet tour this time around. Also attending this madness will be Sputnik Slovenia/Chico Tafari or better know as
our ambassador of goodwill, Mr. Jim Yelenick. Yelenick has traveled on many adventures with the Pinker, from the US to Europe, to New Zealand and Australia,
he has been an inspiration to young and old and will now spread his love and wisdom to the good people of Brazil (and maybe some other things as well).
Another update to this tour will be a new addition to the line up of HP. After 6 years of rock Don Meehleis has decided to sit this one out and maybe everything else
(but we're not sure cause he won't talk to any of us). So, we have enlisted Mr. Jeff 'band slut' Dean (this guy plays for anyone and everyone) from Four Star Alarm/The Bomb
to swing the axe for us in Brazil. We had few practices with Mr. Dean so far and I gotta tell, this guy can pull it off. HP will be in full form for South America.

Dubbed the 2007's Vans Zona Punk Tour, the event is the Brazilian version of Warped. In 2006 bands such as US Bombs, The Ataris, MIssion, Pericles, Noção De nada among others played the tour.
As it turns out we are also playing a few last minute shows to get ready for the tour. The first one is Saturday August 18 at Champs in Burbank. It's the after party for the
Shameless Hours 2007 festival which takes place durning the day. We will share the stage with Boneyard Brawlers, My Big Beautiful and Bread & Bottle. It's a bar show (which means 21+)
but it's free, so come on out and buy us a beer.
We are also playing The Note in good o' Wicker Park on Friday August 24 with Smoke or Fire and Textbook. Show starts at 9pm and is a bar show too (sorry kids) so
we're counting on the old drunks to come out and support us before taking off to Brazil. Might be your last chance to heckle the Pinker this year.
